The section thanks our May 6, 2008, speaker Bill Newman from Remediation & Natural Attenuation Services, Inc. speaking on in-situ bioremediation. Section Elections - The election results are in. President-Elect is Keith Rapp (2009 President), Vice President is Dan Hunter (2008). Secretary-Treasurer is Susan Mickus (2008-2009) and Director is Tim Grape (2008-2009). A big thanks to Damon Powers for his very successful tour as President, Vanessa Demuth as Vice President, and a HUGE thanks to Trey Howard who has served as Secretary-Treasurer for many years. Your efforts have been greatly appreciated. The Section Officers are noted here. Job Opportunities - Don't forget to check with the employment page for recent posting of job opportunities. The intent of this webpage is to provide space to post employment opportunities for geologists in the Midwest, and Minnesota in particular. The Executive Committee holds monthly meeting to discuss and plan section activities. These meetings are open to all members. The meeting notes are available here. AIPG was founded in 1963 to certify the credentials of practicing geologists and to advocate on behalf of the geologic profession. The science of geology is vital to the interests of the nation and in order to best protect public health, safety, welfare, and the environment. AIPG is an organization of qualified geologists dedicated to this mission. We hope you will find the Minnesota AIPG webpage useful and informative. We strongly encourage all qualified geologists to join AIPG, and application information is available here. Additionally, Minnesota AIPG strongly supports Geologist Registration in Minnesota.
