AIPG was founded in 1963 to certify the credentials of practicing geologists and to advocate on behalf of the geologic profession. The science of geology is vital to the interests of the nation and in order to best protect public health, safety, welfare, and the environment. AIPG is an organization of qualified geologists dedicated to this mission.

MN Section of AIPG 2015 Officer Election Results- The election of the Minnesota Section of AIPG 2015 is complete. The election resulted in Shanna Schmitt elected as President-Elect, Tonia O'Brien elected as Vice President, and Adam Krieger elected as Secretary-Treasurer.
