AIPG Luncheon Speaker - 8 September 2009 - Daryl Peterson - Pace Analytical

 Abstract: Laboratory Perspective of Vapor Intrusion 
 
The scope of this discussion covers numerous topics that involve Vapor Intrusion. Vapor intrusion has different sampling techniques and selection of the media. Two major analytical methods used for the analysis of Vapor Intrusion; the TO methods and the SW846 methods. Once the results are obtained, the compounds are listed and compared to their reporting limits. Other topics that will be discussed are container certification, QA/QC requirements and the federal/state guidance documents. The goal of this training is to educate consultants and state agency employees on how to work with the Laboratory on Vapor Intrusion Projects.

Bio:

Daryl Peterson is the Air Technical Director for Pace Analytical, Inc and has 20 plus years of experience in the environmental testing industry. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota Daryl provides technical support on air testing for the entire Pace network of laboratories and service centers.

Daryl has a thorough understanding of all aspects on vapor intrusion and keeps abreast of the most current vapor intrusion issues by attending national level conferences.

Daryl has also assisted a number of States in different parts of the country, with their unique vapor intrusion challenges and is involved with EPA and other national organizations like IRTC, ASTM and AWMA.
