Perfluoronated Chemicals in Washington County: The Saga Continues - Groundwater Investigations and Public Response in the Midst of Uncertainty

Abstract
Investigations into the sources, fate and transport of perfluorochemicals (PFCs) in the groundwater in Washington County continue.  This update will discuss the current state of the investigation and our understanding of the role that bedrock structures, karst features, and surface water transport have played in the creation of a merged plume of contaminants that covers nearly 100 square miles.
