An Update on Perfluorinated Chemicals in Minnesota - Persistent in Both the Environment and Powerpoint!

Abstract
Although the initial excitement over PFCs in Washington County has died down, investigations into these chemicals continue statewide. This talk will provide a brief update on the east metro investigations, including the hydrogeologic context of the biomonitoring study conducted with east metro residents. Other investigations will also be discussed, including PFCs at fire-fighting training sites and a current study of alternative PFC exposure pathways such as garden produce, house dust, and land applied sewage sludge.
